Yeelen Tavilla graduated in multiple disciplines from Academie Artemis and is currently freelancing in the fields of photography and concept development.

She was born and raised in the Netherlands with strong roots in Sicily. Because of her multicultural background she developed an interest in one’s connection to their culture and identity – a key element in her work. She strongly believes in the visual and narrative power of the image, and strives to capture the essence of a story without overlooking the details. In her projects, she values socially conscious storytelling; stories with far-reaching impact beyond simple aesthetics.
